USA Made art glass teardrop burning embers sculpture. Ruby and Yellow glass are used in this natural teardrop shape. Bubbles are added along the coils for added dimension before the design is cased in clear glass. The firing needed to turn raw materials into glass (vitrification) requires sustained temperatures of around 2,500 degrees. Ancient glass makers built Volcanoes and Blast Furnaces which pumped air into beds of glowing embers. 3.5" W x 8.75" H
