This design is one in a series of models we created as a proof of concept for a new design. The process involves fuming alternating layers of gold powder and cobalt onto molten glass then shaping the gathers of color into a disk. The design is annealed over 48 Hours bringing it to room temperature which removes internal stresses within the glass. It's then secured in a plaster cast for several weeks of grinding and polishing the front and back. 10.25" W x 12.25" H x 3" D
