If using the can opener in a wrong way, it's not gonna work! The first step, turn the knob counterclockwise to open the gear a large cutting edge. Secondly, place the gear on the rim of the can and turn the knob clockwise to cut all the way through. Lastly, turn the knob counterclockwise again to release the gear and lift the lid with magnet.
