DVD+R DL holds 8.5GB (8500 MB) and is used to archive large files of data & video for medical imaging, law enforcement, security, and other applications which require more space than the standard DVD. Standard recording speed is 8X. DVD+R DL can be read in most DVD devices, it can only be "recorded" using a DVD-Dual Layer recorder.
