By fusing different metalized dichroics over molten colored frits, we were able to change the character of a dichroic to that of a sparkling glacial stream. The dichroics pick up the light scattering off the underlying glass creating a blue cascade that sparkles like thousands of individual snowflakes. Rainbows in nature occur when sunlight refracts while entering and exiting tiny water droplets suspended in the air. Dichroic glass rainbows are created. 3.25" W x 4.75" H
