Crimson, Rust and Yellow glass are used in this natural teardrop shape. Bubbles are added along the coils for added dimension before the design is cased in clear glass. The firing needed to turn raw materials into glass (vitrification) requires sustained temperatures of around 2,500 degrees. Ancient glass makers built Volcanos and Blast Furnaces which pumped air into beds of glowing embers. Embers are coals that glow very hot and radiate a substantial amount of heat when magnified. 3.5" W x 8.75" H
